Prof. Yu-Guo Guo received his PhD in Physical Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS) in 2004. He worked at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research at Stuttgart (Germany), first as a Guest Scientist and then as a Staff Scientist from 2004 to 2007. He joined ICCAS as a full Professor in 2007. He serves as an Associate Editor of ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, and Journal of Electrochemistry. His research interests focus on energy materials and electrochemical energy storage with rechargeable batteries. He has authored or co-authored more than 450 peer-reviewed papers with more than 63,000 citation times, and he currently has an H-factor of 127. He has filed 15 PCT patents and 120 China patents in the field of energy materials and batteries, in which 110 patents have been granted and 36 patents have been transferred to companies. He has received several awards including the International Coalition for Energy Storage & Innovation Young Career Award (2018), the International Academy of Electrochemical Energy Science (IAOEES) Excellent Research Award (2016), the International Society of Electrochemistry Tajima Prize (2014), and the MIT Technology Review’s TR35 Award (2011).
