Dr. Young-min Choi is the Senior Vice President, Leader of battery materials R&D center for LG Chem. He is also a board member of the corporate sector of the International Meeting on Lithium Battery (IMLB). He received his Ph.D. degree in Material Science and Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, KAIST in 1998.
For the past 25 years, he has presented insightful solutions to various problems encountered in the field of rechargeable lithium batteries and related materials. In particular, he has outstanding research capabilities in designing cathode and electrode materials based on solid-state chemistry and electrochemistry, and has recently been leading the development and commercialization of innovative battery materials such as high-nickel NCM/NCMA for electric vehicles. He has discussed and cooperated with the global OEM/battery R&D laboratories and companies and invited to present the new and key results at the world battery conferences.
