Prof. Li graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Shandong University in 1997, later receiving a doctorate in Chemical Technology from the graduate school of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2002. He then served as a postdoctoral researcher at GSST for 2 years. In 2004, Prof. Li started his teaching career at GSST, where he is currently a Professor of Materials Science and Engineering.
The research of Prof. Li mainly focuses on the composition optimization, interface building and structure design of advanced electrochemical energy storage materials, he has proposed the design principle of a series of highly stable and highly efficient electrolytes and electrodes towards commercial lithium ion batteries as well as the next-generation energy storage systems. Until now, Prof. Li has published more than 240 SCI papers on electrochemical energy storage with a citation of about 8000 times, these include 16 ESI highly cited papers and 2 ESI hot papers. Moreover, he holds 77 Chinese and foreign patents, and 30 patent technology has been used in practical applications.
