No transport equipment (flat trucks, hand trucks, trolleys) is permitted once the carpet has been installed in the aisles.
Booth Setup & Standards
Storage of Empty Boxes
- Storage of empty boxes is mandatory and handled exclusively by Palais des congrès staff.
- Place all materials to be stored in crates or securely fastened to a skid. Labels will be provided by show management.
- Exhibitors have no access to the storage area during the exhibition.

Loading Dock Procedures
The loading and unloading dock is located at 163 St. Antoine West, H2Z 1X8.

- 1 Upon arrival, obtain a mandatory pass from the attendant at the loading dock.
- 2 A maximum of 15 minutes is permitted to unload your vehicle.
- 3 Vehicles left at the loading dock for more than 15 minutes are subject to towing or applicable parking fees.
- 4 Blue trolleys are readily available at the loading dock to assist with transporting materials.
- 1 Smaller vehicles have priority at the start of dismantle. Trucks with trailers, cube trucks, and heavier vehicles have access thereafter.
- 2 Doors between Level 2 (exhibit) and the loading dock remain closed until all aisle carpeting is completely removed.
- 3 Blue trolleys available from the loading dock once doors are opened.
- 4 Empty boxes brought to booths by Palais staff once visitors have vacated and all aisle carpet is removed.
- 5 A pass will be given by the loading dock attendant once all materials have been delivered to your booth.
Rules & Restrictions
All exhibitors must read and comply with the Palais des congrès official installation rules. Covers booth construction, prohibited materials, fire safety, electrical requirements, and floor weight restrictions.
Safety & Insurance
- Exhibitors must carry their own liability insurance. The Palais assumes no responsibility for theft, damage, or injury.
- No alcoholic beverages are permitted during set-up and dismantle.
- Children under 16 are not permitted to assist during set-up/dismantle.
- Comply with Montréal Fire Dept. regulations at all times.
Prohibited Items & Activities
- Sticker distribution of any kind is strictly prohibited.
- Confetti and similar items are forbidden. Cleanup costs will be charged to the exhibitor.
- Helium balloons require pre-approval from the Palais.
- Forklifts are prohibited in carpeted rooms.
- Smoking is prohibited inside the building. Permitted outside at ≥ 9 m from all access doors.
- Any equipment producing disruptive noise or odors may be ordered to stop at the promoter's discretion.
Booth & Space Conduct
- Promotional activities and prize draws must take place inside your booth only.
- Prize draws require authorization from the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec (RACJ).
- Maintain minimum clearances: 45 cm from trap doors, sprinkler heads, and freestanding structures.
- Do not obstruct corridors, elevators, escalators, emergency exits, fire extinguishers, or signage at any time.
Cleaning
- At day's end, place garbage bins in the aisles outside your booth. Bins left inside will not be emptied.
- All residual glue, paint, or stains after dismantle will be cleaned by Palais staff at the exhibitor's expense.
Floor Load Capacity
Max: 1,464 kg/m² (300 lbs/ft²)
Exceeding this requires a feasibility study and protective measures at exhibitor's expense.
