Yuri Nakayama is a principal researcher at Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. working on the new business creation as well as R&D of the next-generation batteries. He used to be a distinguished researcher and project manager at Sony Corporation. 22+ years R&D experience in industry and 1 year Postdoc in the Department of Chemistry at UC Berkeley, having achievements on material science, analytical science, material development, electrochemistry, product development, and project management. Adjunct lecturer in Tokyo Institute of Technology (2014), and a member of investigation committee for the next-generation batteries in the Japan Patent Office (2013). Received B.E. in Applied Chemistry, and Ph. D. in Superconductivity at the University of Tokyo, Japan.
