Liqiang Mai, Chair Professor, PhD supervisor, Dean of School of Materials Science and Engineering, Wuhan University of Technology, Distinguished Young Scholar of Natural Science of China (2014), Changjiang Scholar Professor of Ministry of Education of China (2016). Mai is committed to the research on energy storage materials and devices, and created the first single nanowire electrochemical in situ device. Mai has published more than 500 SCI-indexed papers, cited over 50,000 times, including Nature (2), Science (1) and Nature, Science and Cell sister-journals (24). Mai has obtained 145 authorized invention patents as the first inventor, 28 of which have been transferred. Mai has published one monograph entitled Nanowire Energy Storage Materials and Devices, and was invited to give 32 plenary lectures and keynotes lecture in important conferences such as the annual meeting of the Materials Research Society. Mai has undertaken over 30 national projects such as the National Key Research and Development Program, and the National Key Scientific Research Instrument Project of China. He is the winner of Science and Technology Innovation Award of The Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation in 2020, the EEST2018Research Excellence Award, etc.
